My first Yes concert, was already confirmed hard-core: I was 17 and going to school in Boston, our dorm mother's boyfriend worked for the promoter - every week almost, there was a sign-up to work as an usher (Bowie, Jeff Beck, Elton John, etc. -- and Yes!).

Was really magical, was up in balcony (ushers didn't have seats); remember Chris Squire's bass foot pedals and outrageous boots; a twirly disco ball of mirrors above, and Jon Anderson being very cosmic and far-out.

Just got a download of the concert in Hartford the night before --

Memory fails me, but either this or Jethro Tull's Passion Play was my first concert. Both bands have been favorites after all these years. Yes comes first though. I've been to several more, seeing both bands evolve over time.

This was my first YES show. It was amazing!!!

Today is 4/3/05. This was my first YES show and I have been a fan ever since. It is still my favorite show and I have seen every tour(except Talk) ever since. Last May 2004, The Philly show ranks in my top five. This is, by far, the best Band of all time. VBasileEsq@aol.com

The venue was actually called the Music Hall. My first of 12 Yes concerts and I would say possibly the best. I thought after the Eagles that nothing could be better. Boy was I wrong. Firebird Suite starting even before the band got on stage. What a rush. I have been a Yes freak ever since.
