JoseAlvarez I was a sophmore at Vanderbilt U in Nashville, Tenn. Like always Yes was the best. Frank List I'd been listening to Yesmusic for quite a while, and was thrilled to learn that my Press Card would get me right up front... The music was stunning, the stage presence of those guys, the incredible intrumental prowess, and the obvious joy they felt on that stage changed me for the rest of my days. From that moment to this, i've never missed an opportunity to see a Yesshow ( tonite, 10 Dec 08 in Nashville's Ryman Auditorium will be my 90th ) and rare has been the day that i haven't stopped sometime during the day to take a sip from the Well... it just occurred to me how interesting it is that Yes will play the Ryman...the same stage my daddy used to play steel guitar on the Friday Nite Opry...full cirle time tonite. Thank you YES. You've meant the world to me all my life. Ed Manning Definitely saw them in Nashville in spring of '73 at the Municipal Auditorium. Same basic show as Memphis [07/29/72], except Close To The Edge was added. |
