Good to see Yes back at another of my favourite venues, the Royal Concert Hall in Nottingham, where I also heard them on the Open Your Eyes tour. A seat in the rear stalls rather than the gallery this time, but the sound was good and the band in fine form. It’s a modern hall, completed in 1982. The only tweak as far as the show was concerned was that Steve Howe’s cameo this evening was ‘Mood for a Day’ in place of ‘Clap’. The climax to ‘Awaken’ was especially breathtaking.

I have noticed over the years that Yes perfomances usually have a strange effect of highlighting one particular band member.

For me Manchester was Chris , Liverpool was Igor and in Nottingham tonight it was definately Steve. He seemed really up for it !

Generally I would say this was the best show of the three shows so far, apart from Billy being too low in the mix.

Homeworld was great tonight.

Mood for a Day was a nice suprise.

Alan is now an aclaimed author ! ( i won't explain for those who have not seen the show yet ).

Great show and a polite attentive/enthusiastic crowd.

Almost 2 years since the band were last in town with OYE Tour. The new members of the band have come a long way in such a short space of time. Igor was fantastic and really seemed to be on Planet Anderson. Steve as expected was out of this world except for Mood for a Day were he seemed to lose it a bit. The new material from The Ladder was performed very well and it is certainly the best album for years. The set list contained a few gems which I never tire of listening to. It was great to hear Yours is no Disgrace replace Siberian Khatru as an opening piece, this really set the mood for the evening. And You and I never seems to date - brilliant. The highlight of the evening for me had to be Hearts followed by the amazing Awaken. Billy was great on Cinema albeit very brief. All in all another slick performance - still think as I said two years ago they should change the ending - Would'nt it be great if they finished with RSOG or TOTC to leave us screaming for more rather than thank god Owner of a Lonely Heart and Roundabout are over. I must go out and buy some new gear after seeing Chris get away with his baggie shorts - could this be a new fashion statement for the over 50's. Great show yet again - roll on the next tour.
