When I heard YES were on tour in Europe, I decided to go to England, because I never thought they would come to Portugal. I had a hotel room reservation, a booked flight to London. Then one day I got a call on cell-phone, was my Dad, telling me that my all time favorite band was coming here. To make a long story short, i cancelled my trip to London and had a blast n YES' venue here. Was the best show I've ever seen, and I can almost say for sure, i won't see a better one. The highlight was defenatly And You and I, Awaken and Hearts. And I still don't know why Hearts was on the House of YES album. Anyway, was the show of my life.

This place is a very big pavillion used at the EXPO 98 and can be cut in parts to change the size according to the number of seats desired. The bad thing is the acoustics - lots of echo as Jon joked about.
Setlist - same as Porto (RAH with Mood For a Day instead of the Clap, this time Steve played it sat on a bench).
Sound quality - Echoey, still acceptable. Too loud at some moments.
Me: I (again) was at first row in front of two "Conspirers" ;) Where else?!?!?!
Crowd - Enthusiastic since the start, they knew all the old songs and got excited with the new ones. Not as noisy as Porto but the noise of the crowd got a bit lost in the acoustics of the pavillion. I must say though that Porto was "hotter".
YiND - Steve does the first "own-show" of the night, In fact he seems quite above his usual mood! Billy is such a nice guy as he noticed me and said hello.
BILLY : I had my World Trade and Big Peace CD's for you to sign... maybe next time....
TaaW - Everyone sang it
Homeworld - Getting better and better live. The public really knows this one! Billy rhythm wah guitar is perfect for the organ solo.
PC - Same as Porto: (Thunderous!!!! Got the special applauses and all when Jon started singing! A la Yessongs.) Lots of interaction between Chris & Billy.
LS - Dunno why... maybe cause it's latin, but the audience loved this one! Clapping along, dancing around. On the final lyrics it was "Portugal - help me getting some... Lisbon help me Getting some... EUSEBIO help me getting some...." didn't know Jon knew this great football celebrity.
The Messenger - Applauses for Bob Marley reference - This song did much better then in Porto.
NSdS - Once again the crowd got carried away... they didn't expect it all to end so quick...
aYaI - First Steve started the intro but he started tuning the 12 string in the middle which was kind of rude to some guitar enthusiasts. But as soon as the first steel guitar solo begins ... there are no words for this song ... it's pure dream, pure flying through the clouds... This time Chris' bass had no problems so he could perform that magical finale leading the band while playing his bass and his pedals.
IWBaGD - After the density of aYaI, this song can be in a dangerous position, but I have to be honest... the song was perfect. The band was so much inside the song it sounded heavenly. The best performance/moment I ever felt with this song.
FtF - It's "shake your ass" time. and Portuguese ppl jumped at the idea: YES: DO "everybody stand up" MORE OFTEN Boom of appauses!
Hearts - This time it surprised me even more - Standing ovation for Billy when he started his... vocal part!!! I gotta surrender to my compatriots cause they really know how tho take care of the band.
Awaken - This is like going to all the points of the solar system in 15 minutes... and that's where we travelled. Chris' 3neck appearence was quite effective and he got extra audience feedback!!!
ISAGP - Everyone knew this one and sang along, then for another "shake your ass"
Mood for a Day - same Flamenco intro. Steve sat on a bench.
Cinema - I will always love this one. The energy of Alan/Billy/Chris/Igor "Power Quartet" is thrasing.
OoaLH - Wild, wild, wild!!!! At this time everyone was dancing as much as near the stage as they could!! Some very nice chicks in front of me danced the night away for the delight of Billy and Chris!!
Roundabout - I was missing them already... I knew that this was the last song... we still danced around, sang and shouted as much as we could. A brilliant ending with the crowd demanding more... I knew that it would be impossible so I waved goodbye to the band... Shook hands with Billy ... Billy said goodbye to my female friend just by my side. I can't be jealous cause she's really cute ;)
This is the end of my biggest ever Yes Experience. I did

Well what can a person say when you see excellent performances like this . The Atlântico Pavilhão wasn’t full that’s true but the band and the public that was there went to the Heart of the Sunrise .Although all the band was very good I think that Anderson and Squire were really touched by the dedication of the Portuguese public. The best moments were ,naturally, when the band performed their bigs hits : Roundabout and Mood for a Day (Fragile-1972) ; And You and I (Close to the Edge – 1972) ; “Owner of a Lonly Heart”. It was really a special concert here in Lisbon.
