The BBC recently aired this in the US (May 2007) on their BBC Crown Jewels program shown on VH1 Classics. Superb clarity, light years beyond the bootlegged version that's been circulating for years. The band is on fire, with Howe giving a great performance in Yours Is No Disgrace. Rated as essential collection material.

I actually own a DVD entitled Yes: The Early Years. It includes the b/w footage of "No Opportunity Necassary, No Experience Needed" from the 1969 Belgium broadcast, color footage of "Beyond and Before" from the 1970 France concert, the 1970 color broadcast from the "Time and a Word" album which I believe is from Belgium as well and includes interviws (first footage of Steve with the band), the 1971 color footage of BBC's Sounding Out, which includes all of the songs listed except the Firebird Suite and Roundabout. However, the concert footage is intercut with interviews with Jon, Chris, Steve, Rick and Bill. Also included is a promo video of Yes performing "America" at Advision Studios. The footage of "All Good People" from Beat Club is at the end. It is an amazing DVD and a treasure for someone like me who may never get to see the "legendary" line-up of Yes.

It [10/03/71] was the first rock concert I ever went to, and I can still remember it. It was definitely a Sunday, as The Pavilion, Hemel Hempstead (affectionately know as "the Pav" to the kids in Hemel) had rock concerts on a Sunday each month.

I was sixteen, and most of my friends were there. A lot of them at school the next day were making comparisons with their previous visit about a year earlier, round about the time of "The Yes Album". General consensus was that they were at least as good, and Rick Wakeman was something else!

Further, the BBC were there. They did a documentary which was shown on BBC TV a few months later, including interviews with the band members and songs from the concert. Now if a copy of THAT program could be found...
