I was 13 years old, dropped off alone by my father, second row in front of Squire. I was a Yes fanatic and could not believe my good fortune to be there. Had never heard of Gentle Giant, but even not knowing their songs was deeply impressed as they employed recorder, strings, and horns into their excellent set. Yes' sound overall was close to the Relayer brightness and clarity, to be expected. Howe relied often on solid body guitars, including a much used Telecaster. Moraz was spot on, to Squire's left, great to watch him work. Anderson played a lot of percussion, he and Squire sounded perfect singing together. Alan White played aggressively, driving. Wonderful memory!

I didn't know you yet but I was at this gig too, Brian D Brown, even though we didn't know each other yet @ U-High. I took my sister, I was lucky as this was my 2nd Yes gig and was always grateful to have seen Gentle Giant open Yes on the few dates they did. Awesome gig!

Holy smokes! This was a dream come true for me at the time. Took my then girlfriend Neva and my brother Bruce (don't know why I brought the kid with me on a date, just remember worrying what second hand tokes would do to him!) I am sure that this was my first large venue rock experience. I was absolutely blown away by the energy! Being a jazz band geek, I was impressed by Gentle Giant's superb musicianship.

How about that Roger Dean stage contraption?! Whoa! And my first experience with laser effects too. You might say I lost my concert virginity that night!

Yep, for an 18 y.o. aching to leave the little city of Spokane it was quite the eye opener. (BTW, I've lived in Seattle since Aug,1976)

I have subsequently seen Yes 4 other times all in Seattle the most memorable being Benaroya Concert Hall 35th Anniv. Tour (Eighth row in front of Wakeman!).
