This was the third time I had seen Yes in concert. By this time, Fort Wayne had developed a good reputation as a progressive rock hotbed and one of the best and appreciative audiences in the country. We had our own nationally known prog bank, Ethos (on Capital Records) and Genesis was so well like here that they played here three times in three months (and Phil Collins first wife was from here)
Those of us who use to hang out at Grahams percussion center when it was off of Wells St. were tipped off to stay around after the concert. Being that this was the last concert of Yes' world tour that year, the band had a large buffet for all of us fans. I remember what a rush it was to actually be able to talk with Chris and Jon.
Never forget it!

Yes gave a great concert. It was a little jolt of surprise when they did "I'm Down" for an encore. They were having a lot of fun with it, and it reminded me of how the progression of music (at the time) seemed to be a passing of the "torch" from the Beatles to Yes (and a few others).
I clearly remember (confirmed by my wife) that, at the end of the show during the bows, Patrick Moraz came down a little spiral staircase which was part of the stage set, and tripped at the bottom. He went sprawling, spread-eagle on his stomach onto the stage. He was o.k., and got right up. The crowd howled, and the band was in hysterics, especially Chris Squire.

An improvised thing I named "The Stand Up, Sit Down Blues" was a response to people in the audience alternately yelling "Stand up" and "Sit down" to the people behind and in front of them (respectively)

The last complete show with Patrick Moraz. A milestone!
