When I saw Yes in Portland I was a 'new wave' kid who wasn't familiar with any classic Yes other than Roundabout. I'd heard Tempus Fugit on the radio and loved it, so I decided to go with a couple of friends, one of whom was a bass player and a real Yes fanatic. He wasn't at all let down by the show, and commented that Trevor Horn was actually a better singer than Jon Anderson (I think he meant technically/range-wise). The music played over the PA before the show was Jimi Hendrix, the 'Electric Ladyland' album I believe.

Well, I'm another fan who was certainly disappointed
to see the new line-up for this album/tour. We had front
row seats in a not too full arena. The opening with the thin
curtain dropping from the ceiling which expanded and then
raised, revealing the band was most memorable.
Chris, Steve and Alan delivered, but the older tunes
were strange with the new guys. The Drama tunes have their own cool vibe which they all delivered well. Amazing Grace blew
me away, but it, like the rest of the show was a little too loud. My ears rang for a couple days.
