Gee Tee

This was my first YES concert - I was 19 at the time had just starting listening to the band. Wasn't sure what to expect - w/o Jonand Rick - coupled with none other than the Buggles whom I didn't have much use for.

I really did like the Drama album and feel it is quite underated by critics and fans alike.

The concert did not dissappoint - they played most if not all of the Drama Albums along with the greatest hits. I had 10th row seats and Yes were still performing in the round. One of the things I remember most was as the stage turned clockwise - Alan White's drum platform twirled counter clockwise - I thought it was so cool at the time - now I laugh about how cheezy it was.

Nevertheless - one of my most memorable concert experiences - was blown away how well Trevor Horn handled the vocals and Geoff Downes (later in ASIA) performed on keys. An naturally - the vets - Steve, Chris and Alan were all in top form.

I found the next tour - 90185 to be dissappointing and not until I saw the Yes 35th anniversary tour did any of thier shows equal the Drama tour.

Looking forward to seeing the band this summer - curious to see if Oliver Wakeman is a chip off the old block.
