¨Trevor look faintly ridiculous in his suit and tie.." He looked like an accountant.
Martin Epps
This went down in history as YES' last ever concert. Until that is the 90125 era jump started their career again. The band were tight, but poor old Trevor Horn's voice had long since departed his larynx. When the band played music only, they were as good as they'd ever been. There was some minor booing of Trevor, and he did look faintly ridiculous in his suit and tie, but hey, it was 1980! Geoff's keyboard setup included a Fairlight with it's computer monitor screen. It was all very high tech. Steve had about 12 or 14 guitars and played all of them. but Chris was really the leader of the band at the time. At the end of the show, the whole band stood at the front of the stage, sang acapella and brought the house down. I got Trevor, Steve and Chris' autographs after the show. Trevor said their next album was going to be a double! Pah! Steve was his usual aloof self and Chris was absolutely stoned out of his head! The Rainbow has long since ceased to be a music venue. It's now a spiritualist church. Bit of a come down for the venue where Yessongs was filmed.
