Also, according to David Watkinson's book "Perpetual Change", YES were supposed to have payed a gig at an unknown vaenue in "Beckingham, England" (sic) on 14 September 1968.
Fact is, there is no such place in England. He probably means BUCKINGHAM, the county town of Buckinghamshire. (The gig at the Crown Hotel in Marlow was also in Buckinghamshire).
The alternative is that the gig was in BECKENHAM, Kent (just outside London). However, unless and until further information is forthcoming, reports of YES playing any gig on 14 Sept 1968 should be treated with caution.

YES are also reported to have played another gig on the 10 September 1968 at the Marquee Club, Wardour Street, London.
The day before this gig, YES were at the HQ of Apple Records (the Beatles Record comapny) involved in an audition-cum-recording of demo tapes. This was in an attempt to secure a recording contract with Apple. The "producer" of this recording session was Peter Asher (brother of Jane Asher, one-time girlfriend of Paul McCartney, and better known as one half of the folk duo Peter & Gordon) and the recordings took place at the studio in the basement of the Apple HQ at 3 Saville Row, London W1.
