Was it really that long ago? I was still at school and John Peel's Top Gear was the musical highlight of my week, listening in my bedroom with a transistor radio, using a long-wire antenna to get the best possible reception. The back of the radio was unscrewed with wires connected to the speaker terminals and fed into my Grundig 4-track reel to reel tape recorder.

It was the covers that hooked me, the complex arrangements of Something's Coming and Every Little Thing - I had never heard anything like it before. I recorded these onto tape and played them to everyone I knew.

I was most disappointed that Something's Coming was not included on the first album.

I have been a Yes fan ever since.
