According to my notes from the evening, they did play AYAI. Fantastic show and especially Rick and Tony were real crowd pleasers! Not to many people though. In those days Yes was best known as a washing-up liquid in Sweden. And it would be twelve years minus two days until they played in Sweden again.

When ABWH toured Sweden 89, my girl and I got together with Jon at the cafe opera for a few beers. He played some black Jack?, and I approached him, closed my eyes and blessed the moment. I stepped forward gave my hand, and said "this is a dream come true" he said "great" and put his arm round my shoulder and we went to the table where the manager sat with my girlfriend. Jon sat next to me and said many strange things. He said that I was his connection in Sweden and that I had given him energy. We had a fantastic evening. I asked the DJ to play something with Yes, he replied "what kind of place do you think this is. There were a lot of so called famous singers and acters, but they had no idea of who he was. In Sweden Yes is almost unknown. Only 2000 attended the arena. Sadly enough because of that they will probably never showup in Sweden again. When I stood up on first row to dance to 'Close To The Edge' a stupid ignorant Swede took a grip of my sweater and told me to sit down. Thats the attitude one has to face here everyday. Sweden is really spiritually dark. The negative forces here are soo strong!! Anyway Jon smiled to me and we danced through the night together. It was good. Afterwards we were given back-stages and went to his hotel room for a great "talk" and some meditation. I love to see them again.
