zolias Tuesday, March 14, 2023 12:22 PM I would like to thank Rhea Frankel as her comments always put a smile on my face. My first YESshow was in 1998 so it's always cool to read these stories! Rhea Frankel Thursday, February 21, 2013 9:50 PM I went to this show! I wrote about it on my blog at [Link] Peter Corda This was my second Yes show, and it was the day after my 8th birthday, so it was one of the best birthday presents ever! One of the coolest memories of the show was during the "Wurm" part of Starship Trooper. Somebody in the audience had this huge orange flag. I can't recall what it said, but I remember the stage being filled with smoke and lights, and Jon took the person's flag and started waving it back and forth. So they're just jamming out on Wurm and Jon is trumphantly waving this huge flag around amongst the smoke and lights. It was so visually and musically powerful! It was definately something I'll never forget. Rhea Frankel My first Yes concert was at the Spectrum in Philly, on March 19, 1990 with ABWH. The encore started with Roundabout (of course) and Starship Trooper. Then, they came back for another encore, and played the "All Good People" part of I've Seen All Good People. That's right, no Your Move, just the second half of the song. At the time, I thought it was so cool; to have played anything less high-energy would have been a letdown after Starship Trooper. Have they ever done that, before or since? I have plenty of boots with the whole song, or with just Your Move, but nothing else with just All Good People. I have this show on tape, so I know I'm not misremembering. Thanks for any info. |
