My first time seeing the ARW show. Very excited to see Rabin again since I hadn't seen him since 1994. Not sure about this venue for rock shows. It was constructed mainly for classical music and I have heard several complaints regarding the sound from different people. For me, It seemed that I heard a lot of Rabin in the mix but not much Wakeman. Funny considering I was directly (but far from) in front of Wakeman. The opening instrumental of "Perpetual Change" was awesome. How it segue into the performance of "Cinema" was pretty clever. Also pretty clever is how "Awaken" was re-worked in this performance bringing the instrumental into the into. The same was done with "South Side of the Sky" a few years ago. It was most interesting. Trevor's guitar volume is still a little too loud on the climax of "Awaken" though. Otherwise the set list was somewhat predictable. Was hoping to hear some more obscure Yessongs. They did bring back "Lift Me Up" which was pretty cool. Somewhat disappointed with having "Starship Trooper" dropped and replaced with "Roundabout". Overall this was a very enjoyable performance. I am glad they decided to tour. All three Yesmen (and backing musicians) really seemed to be enjoying themselves. After the show, I got Rabin to sign my Yesyears boxset. Nine down three to go another town another Yesshow!
