Jon Anderson and the Band Geeks, Baltimore, May 6, 2023
Venue was about 75% full
Firebird entrance took me back to my first show in 1975, all the feels
THIS IS A ROCK SHOW and it was LOUD!. Richie's bass pedals were shaking the whole building
Jon's vocals were amazing; Highlights- CTTE, HOTS (he can still hit the "Sharp, Distance"), Awaken, AYAI, Ritual. I had not seen him perform since a 1999 Philly show
Can't remember Jon smiling this much. The super receptive crowd was on their feet at the end of each song, and he very appreciatively soaked it all in
Band Geeks: you can tell they grew up listening to these songs and their perpetual grins throughout had a "I can't believe I'm getting to do this" subtext the whole night. They were GREAT!
My only disappointment was Ritual instead of Gates, but man did they kick it for that one

So grateful for this opportunity to see this show, and I hope that they add additional shows, so all of YOU can go; DON'T MISS IT!
