before 'Starship Trooper' transcribed by: Jeff Riecks Jon Anderson:Woo! Great to be with you this evening. Speak to me of summer, long winters longer than time can remember. The setting up of other roads, to travel on in old accustomed ways. before 'Gates Of Delirium, The' transcribed by: Jeff Riecks Jon Anderson:Thank you so much, thank you. It's great to be with you this evening, thank you. We decided this tour to be doing, ah, pieces of music, we call them "Masterworks." The idea is music can be still 24 years later wanna play so... And thank God you want to hear them as well, so... Here we go with a song called 'The Gates Of Delerium.' before 'Leaves Of Green' transcribed by: Jeff Riecks Jon Anderson:Thank you so much, thank you. That's a song... [???] playing a song for my beautiful wife Jane, [???] the space, the course this afternoon, [???] thank you Jane, wonderful, [???] wonderful. I was thinking back to, um, the first time I started singing there "Soon, oh soon the light, pass within and soothe this endless night" I really believed there was light, I really believed God is light within. There I was, 24 years ago, singing away, not really knowing that it's true! There is light and God is within and that is the truth! So now, [???] when I sing "Soon, oh soon the light..." it's amazing, it's amazing. Thank you all for listening. Steve Howe on guitar. before 'Heart Of The Sunrise' transcribed by: Jeff Riecks Jon Anderson:[???] that we are of the sun... we're from the sun, you know, that's where we are. In fact we're from the heart of the sunrise. before 'Ritual' transcribed by: Jeff Riecks Jon Anderson:Woo! Thank you so much, thank you. Just, ah, just before we started the tour, just before we started the tour, we were, ah, me and Jane were just sort of barbecuing [???] we know this lady she's ah, she's a earth mother type lady and we're talking about how the earth mother, the earth listens to human beings. There's so many different ways of listening to human beings. And now and again, humans get togther in large amounts of people, having a great time, and the earth listens and enjoys that, you see. People would call that, in the ancient days they would call that "ritual." So this is a ritual. And, ah, just to, ah, put a point on it, we're gonna play a piece of music, again from, ah, some 27 years ago when we recorded this and it's, ah, entitled, 'Ritual.' before 'Roundabout' transcribed by: Jeff Riecks Jon Anderson:This one's for Damien over there. This song. |
