Den Wednesday, August 14, 2024 6:36 PM I was there too. 15 peoples and i was the youngest with my 14 years old.i can remember all, i still have original photos of the concert made by a friend of mine. those years where magic, how fast time goes by...season will pass us by,but yes never left me,even after so many years. Pierre Kandel Saturday, August 3, 2013 9:55 AM Between "Parallels" and "I've Seen All Good People", someone yells to someone else to sit down (actually, everybody yell to everybody to sit down during the whole show ! "Assis ! Assis !"). You can hear it : "Oh, le petit con à lunettes !" (Hey, the little asshole with glasses"). I've got the strange feeling that it was... me !!!! Gosh ! I was wearing glasses, I was 17, I stood up during the whole show because I never found a seat. All my life, I will feel guilty to have piss off someone else ! It was the last show of the tour. It was my first show seeing Yes, my all time favorite band. I was amazed, the place was full of people who loved the band at the time, because the band was "hype" at the time. And I listen to the show now, and I see again in my head the staging, the lights, the films behind the band. Wakeman throwing confettis during "Roundabout" and laying on his keyboard, provoking a strange noise that Anderson noticed. The strange noises during "Turn of the Century", the strange song "Color of the Rainbow", so unreal, no rock'n roll at all. The strange way Anderson has to dance during "Parallels", during all the songs, waving his arms above him. It was such a long time ago. It was my second concert after Pink Floyd's Animals, at the same place. Remember me, you who yelled at me. We were there. We were all there. It was a fantastic time. saverio a marvellous concert in a very cold evening ,the beggining of my love for yes...Anderson on the harp at the top of the stage between lasers ...the best concert of the many ones I ' ve seen !two long hours af standing extasy for me and my 4 friends . I bought the tickets 3 minutes before the beginning !thank tou yes! Thierry Peremarti The light show was superb! Lasers.... Everybody hated Donovan and nobody cared. We were there for Yes. I was amazed that night by Squire, by Howe's gear. Wakeman stopped playing at some point and sat down on the edge of the stage to throw some confetti. It was damned loud and hot that night. I still remember how it felt. I'm surprised by the set list. I thought they played more stuff from "Close to the Edge". But it was 22 years ago. I had no idea it was the last concert of the tour. |
