I got this show in trade about 7 years ago and this is what I know, which isn't much: it sounds like a DAT recording which was made very close to the stage. If you listen to this on headphones, you'll hear intermittent very mild distortion (overdriven bass or drums) but it's not serious enough to make you cry. The taper seems to have not checked his rec levels enough to prevent this from occurring, which is why I graded this an ex- rather than a straight ex. Having said that, it is a GREAT show and one that I'm sure all Yesheads everywhere will enjoy. I don't think that this has been widely circulated so jump on it if you don't have it. A brief word about audience participation: I love Chicago, the surrounding suburbs and most of its denizens BUT this is a Chicago area show, so it's gotta have its share of loudmouth assholes, right? Right....there aren't very many talkers right next to the taper but there are drunks who have to yell to Jon A. during the music about how much they love him & what songs they want to hear next. There is one very irritating asshole who loves to whistle shriekingly close to the taper; where's that sawed-off baseball bat when you need it, huh? All told, though, these are basically just minor annoyances in an otherwise excellent show. I just thought you might want to know precisely what you're getting. The song titles should be correct ; if there are mistakes, please post the correct title. Feedback is ALWAYS welcome. If you think it's great, sucks or ehhhhhhh, post your thoughts. Finally, the usual; no buy, no sell, no mp3. Freely share, seed as long as is feasibly possible. The concert JUST BARELY fits on 2 80 min. CDs with SECONDS to spare IF you leave off Track 20, which is NOTHING but applause. If you MUST have the applause, you need 3 74 min. CDs. See the directions above for burning suggestions. As always, enjoy the show, tell your friends and I can't get Mr. Natural to leave until he sez "Have fun and don't freak out..." |
