I hadn't listened to my masters for at least 5-6 years but when I did, it brought me sweet memories of this show. I must have attended 20+ yesshows over the years but this was one of the best, along with the ABWH show. Back then, the band had not played Close to the Edge because Jon wasn't feeling too well and although the audience insisted to have it on the set, the band decided to drop it. This time, it was the opener.
Having read reviews of this show, many have stated that Milano was one of the peaks of the whole tour. The recording came out very well, although when I listened to it it was clear that I was taping too close to the audience. The overall recording level was too high - although not close to distortion - and the applauses quite disturbing at the end of each song (the audience was really on fire!). So it took me some time to lower the overall level, mostly to reduce applauses to an acceptable level, and reduce basses that were a bit too prominent. Now the recording has some clearness and dynamics to me! Unfortunately Roundabout is seriously damaged and sounds worse than the rest of the show. Enjoy!
