Some crowd noise before YIND was also deleted. There are a few brief instances of static from the stage. I was seated in in the front row of the second section (26th row), dead center. There was an aisle in front of me, and the movement of persons through the aisle can very occasionally be detected as a brief, minor phasing variance, especially with headphones. The taper who supplied the patches was seated 6 rows in front of me, also dead center. The excellent artwork was created by Randy Mohr. [Sept. 2008--This is my own recording and it has not, to my knowledge, been torrented. I did tree it with a trading group not long after I made the recording. I know at least three other tapers were present. Though I've made many, many recordings since this, and though almost all have been in open situations with better gear, this remains one of my favorites, as it really came out well. The band also had a very good night, despite, or perhaps even because of a few mishaps, at least one technical, and a couple in performance. Very good spirits all around, and the most fun I've seen them have on stage. Sadly this was all too rare in this second leg of the 04 tour, if the accounts are to be believed. I've slightly adjusted the titles of the false start and the improv LDR version, but the artwork remains as it was. I've also retained the title I gave it back when I thought I was clever, to help distinguish it from any other versions.] |
