Here is my capture of Yes Thursday night at the Paramount Theatre in Denver. I have always loathed this venue for taping because its nearly impossible to come away with an excellent capture unless your sitting about 10th row dead center. I was sitting about 12th row and just a little to the left of Steve. Sample included.

Also, a few comments about the performance. Jon, the new vocalist, is dynomite. He can truley hit the high notes with no problem. Steve was on fire and is always a treat to watch. Alan always seems tired - never plays a solo, but solid. My real complaint is with Chris and his lack of spotlighting. I would easily put Chris in the top 5 rock bass players of all time. So, other than Tempus Fugit and the opening bit in HOTS, why was there no spotlight on Chris all evening? He did pull out his triple-necked bass for Awaken which was pretty cool. My buddy who is not a huge Yes fan, but certainly has enjoyed seeing them over the years and had not seen Yes since the 1997 tour, had very positive comments about the show, saying the highlight of the show was the new FFH Suite.

And a few comments about the recording: Again, the recording is a little boomy due to the 3 mile high ceilings at the Paramount. Also, I had some very noisy neighbors at the beginning of the show. They are rather loud through YIND, then when Tempus Fugit started, Mr. Loudmouth went to get another cocktail, and much to my delight, never returned. So, crowd noise is minimal after the first song - yay!
