Except they only did two albums here because of Foxwoods regulations. It was a pretty strong performance. The tempos were much better than previous tours. I don't know why the beginning of "I've Seen All Good People" has sounded so out of tune this tour. I've noticed this on other recordings as well. Other than that, everything was played well and with lots of energy. The recording came out very nice. There are some background conversations that are slightly audible in places. There was waitress service, so you can hear some of that at one point. There was two empty seats to my right for most of the show, but during "Starship Trooper" an overly energetic "woo-er" decided to move in. He was crazy. At one point he was jumping up and down so much that the floor was shaking. Fortunately, he calmed down for the most part after that song. Luckily, I don't believe it ruined the recording. There is a section of "Perpetual Change" that sounds like static, but it's actually the confetti bomb. I was so close to the stage I was right in the middle of it, so you can hear that too. It's still a very nice recording from a memorable evening! Artwork is included in the torrent. The photos are from the actual show. -- MP April 2013 |
