With a recording of Onward playing, a video montage of Chris was shown at the back of the stage. I felt this was a well executed performance under the circumstances. Billy was already in the fold prior to Chris's passing and I think you can tell that they rehearsed. A couple missed cues but nothing drastic. You all can argue the significance of this incarnation of Yes but the band has always been an evolutionary process, with members coming and going. Every change adds and yes takes away from what we're used to and have become comfortable with. I guess I'll take it whenever I can. It's still the music of Yes that matters in the end. * caveat emptor: I was certain I started the recording as the lights dimmed but something must have caused the pause to be depressed. Regardless, I missed the first half of Don't Kill The Whale. My sincerest apologies, it is one of my favorite songs. Rather than fading in, the song starts abruptly with the release of the pause. Enjoy! |
