I arrived in Miami on November 9 after a 1075 mile/19 hour drive. I originally planned to do the trip in two days, but I never got tired and just kept driving south, arriving after midnight at my good friend HS's condo for close to a week's worth of fun before we even boarded the ship. One of the items on our agenda was this Yes concert. Unfortunately, after we had already bought tickets, we were invited to Dave Kerzner's private Kickstarter gig in Miami the same evening. Dave was kind enough to move his start time up to 5:30 to accommodate those of us that wanted to see Yes in Fort Lauderdale. It was still an extremely difficult decision to leave the Kerzner gig in progress, so we waited as long as possible and rushed to Fort Lauderdale, arriving very close to 8:00. By the time we parked and walked to the theater, Onward had already begun. I turned on the recorder in the hallway but decided not to include it in this upload due to all the commotion as we made our way to our seats. There's a slight cut in Siberian Khatru as my cable disconnected while standing to let other latecomers into our row. A similar cut occurred during the banter after Believe Again. I knew we were going to be sitting too close to the stage for optimum sound, but I was shocked to see how high the suspended stacks were (approximately 30 feet above us). As a result, the recording sounds a bit distant, as expected. |
