Comments: Washington loves its Yes concerts. At the end of "Leaves of Green" listen for a group in the audience who, at the final note, shout out "Steve Howe!" This recording turned out well even with a clapper/whistler sitting directly to my left. What this recording doesn't pick up, due to bass roll-off, is the booming kick drum from Jay Schellen and the thunderous bass guitar and pedals from Billy Sherwood. The floor and seats were quaking. Recorded halfway through their summer tour, the band is in fine form, sometimes cueing each other and crossing the stage to stand next to each other. What a treat, after all these years, to hear the Topographic songs again. Links for this concert on social media: [Link] [Link] [Link] [Link] [Link] [Link] |
