On the other hand I think YesFans may be interested in this. Until dyermakeup seeded the 7-14-98 show last week, this was the ONLY recording I had (audio or video) from the leg of the OYE tour that I attended. I don't want to get complaints about quality so I've included screenshots and I'll describe the pros and cons as best I can for you to decide This tape was made pretty far back at an amphitheatre. What I like most about this tape is that it is 95% stable screenshot (the taper only tried to shoot the stage during 1 song) and the frequency range on the audio is pretty good. The bad parts are that because of shooting the projection screen, it is kinda grainy and sometimes dark. My biggest complaint would have to be the audio problems. There are some occasional high frequency dropouts from the wind and distance from stage which is really not to bad, but there is also a heavy pumping compression that mostly only becomes annoying during applause. So all in all, I enjoy this tape and I hope some other YesFans will also. ForeverYes |
