Minimax-master-series #1724 Yes Mönchengladbach, Germany Redbox 18. Mai 2024 Minimax-master-series #1724 Master - Audience recording recording position: row 15, left side Equipment: Zoom H4N with Sound professional microphones SP-CMC-8 sound-quality: exc, some yelling or whoohoos concert-info: this one was announced many years ago (with a Relayer-set), cancelled, announced again, cancelled again and so on....but finally took place on this saturday evening. The a bit boring RedBox-venue was nearly sold out. you could buy some of Roger Deans' artwork beside the merch stall and inside we all sat down. Yes or the band that names itself Yes today came on and played their set technically very professional, without much emotions, the talking of Steve Howe in between some songs seemed to be memorized... So, all you Yes-lovers outside know what they do on this classic tales of Yes-tour. I wished they would have played all the four Tales-songs in complete and not a medley of 'em. My faves from this evening: Time and a word, Turn of the century, Tales-medley Most hated song of this evening: Going for the one (what a crappy version!) Grab it, folks. line-up: Steve Howe - g, voc Geoff Downes - keys Jon Davison - voc, g Billy Sherwood - b, voc Jay Schellen - dr setlist: Intro: The Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra (London Symphony Orchestra composed by Benjamin Britten) Machine Messiah It Will Be a Good Day (The River) Going for the One I've Seen All Good People America (Simon & Garfunkel cover) - instrumental-part only Time and a Word Don't Kill the Whale Turn of the Century Set 2: South Side of the Sky Cut From the Stars The Revealing Science of God (Dance of the Dawn) / The Remembering (High the Memory) / The Ancient (Giants Under the Sun) / Ritual (Nous sommes du soleil) - medley audience / band intro Encore: Roundabout Starship Trooper a few crappy pictures of this concert are included support this band buy all their merch and vinyl Never ever sell this one! No MP3s please.... But most of all: have fun |
