Original 2002 cover art included with updated source info, note the promo for the (then) upcoming Yes album, nice title, where have I heard that before? And it would be nice to see the video.... This recording is for free, lossless, gapless sharing only - never for sale, only make mp3s for personal use, support live music, and buy official releases. regards haroldland Jan 2, 2011 search word: yestorrent old school tape traders & Yes-aholics will probably know DL and maybe JB from Georgia too ============================== Notes from JB from Georgia, who made "Spectral Unification" in 2002 Thanks to DL I got a hold of this incredible audience recording of a fantastic performance! It was so good that I just had to share it! DL rates the sound quality on this one an "A", and she admits to being a bit of a conservative grader, so you know this one is a delight to listen to! I had to do very little to this one primarily just cleaning up a few rough transitions. There is little-to-no audience chatter near the taper (who happens to be a friend of DL's). The enthusiasm of the audience comes through in this recording, but doesn't get in the way of the music. And this crowd was charged-up for sure! Here's the lineage on this one Recorded with Beyer M-700 hypercardioid ambient microphones into a Sony D6 cassette recorder; Maxell metals (masters) > Maxell XLIIS (1st gen) > CDR, via Marantz CDR630 stand-alone burner > CDR (via Marantz CDR630) > WAV (via EAC-secure, one small segment ripped with Feurio); edited with SoundForge 4.5 (no EQ), tracked with CDWave 1.71, SHN'd with mkwACT 0.97 beta 1. [ harold - this was distributed in 2002 as both SHN and audio, my copy is audio] Anyhow, SoundForge was pretty much used for editing (few splices, few clicks). Some audience applause was "softened", but that's about it. This is one of the early Union shows where Yes concluded the concert with Starship Trooper. Also, they play LDR instead of Saving My Heart. The show is complete. ============================== |
