LDB Special Series #361

Out of my 7,000+ shows and radio broadcasts, I have many concerts that were special for some reasons: the setlist, the musicians, the venue or unexpected events. These are the ones I'd like to propose you. Most of these come from my cassettes collection, so they will be released at a slower pace than my Master Series! But you won't be disappointed!
I will try to gather the most unusual things I have in my collection and, as always, your feedback and comments will be my reward for all the work involved in this project.

DO NOT share this music on mp3, just convert it for your own use. Sharing mp3's is the right way to make me stop sharing music here.

Back to my personal collection for a moment. I was thinking that back in 1991 I used to trade with a couple of fellow US traders that were using DAT recorders which by then were becoming the ultimate reference in the world of live recording. It was great to have one single device that allowed you to record without tape flip, and in digital quality!

I managed to exchange letters with one of them who was living in Hoboken, NJ but happened to work in NYC. And I was planning to travel to NYC for New Year´s Eve 1992. So we organised a trade where basically I was leaving my tapes at the hotel reception (yes guys...it was Waldorf Astoria in Park Ave!!!) and he would take them and return his stuff. When the receptionist gave me the small package, I was more than excited: lots of great DAT stuff in excellent quality. This is one of those. After 20+ years the quality is still satisfactory. The setlist includes Hold On which was not played in all dates making this one over 2,5 hours show. Great man from fellow taper from Hoboken (I cannot recall his name...) which deserves all your thanks!!!
