"I never formerly and officially left YES," says cofounder
Jon Anderson of his sabbatical begun in 1980. "I just took a
leave of absence because I was involved with a few other
projects. I'm back and YES more than ever has no musical
boundaries; we never know what is going to happen next, and
that's not a bad state of affairs... for any musicians."
Throughout the band's history Jon's compositional vocal and
band management skills have been a vital part of the YES make
up and success.
"Whoever helps to hold the thread, will therefore be forever

It's back to his musical roots and a homecoming for
keyboardist/synthesizer Tony Kaye on 90125 and the current
tour. For Kaye was an original YES member, but left the group
after the release of its third album for "personal reasons, I
don't properly remember now." Kaye has always been one of the
most in-demand musicians in the music world and he has been a
resident of Los Angeles for the past decade. "The seven months
I spent in England working on 90l25 was the longest time I
spent in eons"

Drummer without equal, Alan White is one of the pillars of YES
and such a dominant force that most people think of him as an
original member of the group. But he wasn't. He didn't join
until l972 and after the release of the group's third album
and his own career as a drummer with George Harrison, the
Plastic Ono Band, Joe Cocker and Ginger Baker's Air Force.
White divides his time between an Oxford, England country
home, a London flat and a lakeshore house in Seattle where he
sails constantly and tinkers wth cars. Oh, yes, he's married
to an American.

"I only took up the bass," Chris Squire confesses, tongue
definitely in cheek, "because people kept telling me that my
height and big hands it was the only instrument that I could
But not withstanding this, as cofounder and an integral part
of YES, he has become one of the most influential innovators
of rock, always pushing it to the outer limits.
With 90125 and the current YES tour,
guitarist-writer-performer Trevor Rabin has blown his cover
for all time. Because until last fall, the South African-born
and London, Western Europe, Los Angeles musician was one of
the most "in" and "wanted" musicians in the music heavens...
not generally known to the public at large. He plays a
half-dozen instrument's on 90l25, wrote most of the songs on
the LP and is an ovation-provoking stage performer in concert.
And he's still in his 20's.
