I been reading these reviews, and people are riffing on the Pousette-Dart Band. We were the first fuckin' act of the day. A little quartet. We were good! People don't know what the fuck they're talking about. No one knew who we were. It doesn't matter how good we were, you wouldn't recognize it. You showed up to see Yes & Frampton, and you hear something you've never heard before and you don't recognize that it's good. You have no judgement. I'm talking to all of you. Check out this link. Listen to the drummer, listen to the bass player, listen to this fuckin' little band, motherfuckers. You don't know what the fuck you're talking about.

Lynyrd Skynyrd played the next year with the J. Giels Band and Peter Frampton was the headliner without Yes.The year before It was Gary Wright, the Poissette Dart Band,The Mummers got booed off the stage,Then Peter Frampton played the year of Frampton come alive and it was in the 90's and everyone was pounding orange aide 16oz. cartons that they were selling and a 25 minute trash fight went on before it got dark and Yes was the Headliner with a great light show.I took a jacket with me and everyone was breaking my balls but it got chilly at night and everyone was cold......including me because someone took my jacket when I went to the bathroom
Doesn't anyone else remember Lynyrd Skynyrd playing at this concert??? Or did I dream it? No I remember they played in the bright daylight, just before a big name band, maybe it was Gary Wright. LS had the crowd up and dancing, screaming and stomping around with their energy! Playing music that was new but sounded like we'd been listening to it all our young lives. Please tell me someone else remembers Ronnie Van Zant in his bare feet. And Allen Collins leaping 5 feet in the air! I know I did not dream this....who else remembers?
