You would think they, (or Yes management which is.. ultimately YES) would have learned.

But no, they return to Crapstain Park Amphitheatre for another sub-par, unprofessional show.

This was a probably REALLY the worst concert I have been to. I think there was an orchestra.. (ha ha) but I certainly never HEARD them.

I saw people moving around on stage, some strumming guitar, playing Bass, Drum set... But I'll be dammned if I HEARD anything all night.

What an insult to drive through 3 states, and pay all of that money for such an UNPROFESSIONAL concert.

Really sad.

Another Yes tour with good potential, but undermined by playing Chastain on a night when the cheese and wine consuming yuppie ticket holders were in full roar. It was simply unacceptable. They totally drowned out Steve's solo. This show was mixed almost as poorly as the OYE tour was here. Much like that show, the mix sucked the first half but was tolerable later. I recall Ritual being quite nice that night, but the rest was undermined my bad mixes and loud, selfish people looking for a place to banter, oblivious about who Yes were. They might as well been a jukebox.

Same as everyone else - great show and wonderful venue but really crappy people in the crowd - my seat was on about the 3rd row and I still couldn't hear the band over people's chatter. A real shame.

This was the most disappointing concert experience I've ever had.
My seats were in the lawn, but I may as well have been somewhere down the street. The volume was extremely low. Chastain Park is always annoying if you are actually there to hear music (instead of eat cheese, drink wine or chat with your friends), but this was far worse than ABWH and even the OYE tour which I actually saw only half of through the fence while on my dinner break from work.
It looked like the band was into it, and what I could make out seemed to be very tight. What a let down, however, especially after seeing them on the Masterworks tour at Lakewood Ampitheater(a large outdoor venue).The drum break during Ritual was (during the Masterworks show) a life-changing experience for me. At Chastain Park it was nearly comical to see them all beating on drums with a frenzy while listening to people talk about their day and the possibility of hearing Owner of a Lonely Heart.
It will be a sad day for me if they ever play there again.

I'm sure the band was fine-- The trouble was, I couldn't hear them from where I was sitting. The volume level was too low and the conversations of the "baseball game" crowd that talked and yelled incessantly managed to drown them out. Once the unbelievably rude crowd destroyed Steve Howe's solo, I decided to leave. I've seen them a bzillion times, but I actually walked out.


We die-hard fans were at the mercy of regular Atlanta Symphony subscribers, and pushed so far from the stage that we're normally near (I was in row S), that I might as well have just gotten out a video of them...

And the postage-stamp video screens made their images about the same size as they looked from my vantage point. Abyssmal concert experience.

May Yes never set foot on Chastain ground again!
