Cecil Turner - Rabbittown Never will forget this show. I was in (the army) ST Louis, Misouri when the Mississippi River Festival was canceled. I was sleeping in a '65 Nova station wagon in a corn field because I only had money for the ticket. This would have been my first Yes show. In Munchen (still in the army): From where I was sitting Atlantis was to the left and Yes was set up on the right. I will never forget Wakeman's "Rib Cage" flashing to his keyboard. Since I am always a guitarist, I was focused on Howe but the entire show just seemed like we were under water on the seabed, looking at the reminants of a whale carcass. Never will for get the Firebird and the buildup to Siberian Katru. (with an old man's shakey voice) They just don't do that stuff anymore! Claus Mayer Bands opened for Yes on this day: Atlantis (german band) and Tempest (Jon Hiseman's Band).
