John This was by far the most energized show I've ever seen Yes play. I went to both shows at the Garden and this one on Friday night was unbelievable. I saw them four times total on this tour and all of the shows were great but this one just totally rocked out. I had my brother and two die-hard ELP fans with me (Moyer and Brad). By the end of the evening there were four hard-core yes fans! Heavy D. A great show. Donavan opened and closed with "Atlantis". Yes came on and were the most motivated I had ever seen them. Squire kicking beachballs back into the the croud, Anderson running behind the curtains stage left and right. M80's blowing up on the floor of the old building and lazers running across the crowd before that type of thing was banned. During Awakenings, I watched a lazer trace across the crowd until it hit me head-on. I still see that colour green in my dreams.... Cases of Heineken stacked back-stage. My 2nd concert and every note better than recorded as was the Yes Way. Yes was the summer concert that we waited for 4 months in advance. Love to get a recording of that magic evening..... Barry Rogoff Donovan opened for Yes.
