I went to the Cincinnati, Ohio 90125 Concert and the Oxford, Ohio (my alma mater) concert. They were note-for-note the same show (disappointing). Most people at the Oxford show knew very little about Yes. However, my sister and I snuck backstage after the Oxford show, and Jon Anderson autographed my 90125 T-shirt. We were promptly tossed out by security when they saw that we had no backstage passes.
The band left in limousines, not vans, and my sister and I followed chased!) them all the way to the airport in my $200 VW (it even had a 90125 bumper sticker on the engine lid!). When we got there, we spoke with Jon and Trevor, and got to look inside their private plane. My sister even got a hug from Jon.
Yes came to my college as our Spring concert. I'd seen Yes for the first time two weeks earlier in Cincinnati. Extra power generators were brought in to power the lasers since not enough power was normally available at our basketball arena. After the show a hundred or so fans waited outback to try to meet the band. They got in the vans to leave pretty quickly but Trevor Rabin and Tony Kaye were nice enough to sign autographs.
