Drambler I was at this show too and I remember it being half full at the beginning but by the end it was nearly full and I was amazed thinking where did all these people come from I didnt hear them come in(was trippin pretty good too) great show as usual Donnie Loeffler Yes, it was my first YES concert as well, and I also really thought the Popeye Cartoon was cool. If my memory is correct it was the "sinbad" popeye cartoon, a early color one for popeye. Also, the upper part of Freedom Hall was basically empty and most folks including myself and my friends moved to the floor area. There is a cassette audience tape made of this show, it's about a C- in quality, but at least there is a copy. I was a senior in high school and it's amazing that YES is still going! I hope they come back to Louisville, Kentucky again. Highlights for me: Hold On, Changes, Shoot High Aim Low, Heart of the Sunrise!, Love will find a way. Downers: the same solo pieces by the band from the 90125 tour had been redundant. Nice to hear Rabin on guitar, such a great player and writer! Cheers - Yay for YES! Chris Parrish My first YES concert! What can I say? One never forgets the first time. IT WAS AWESOME! I thought the opening Popeye cartoon was cool too! Larry Miller Freedom Hall half full. Still, good show. Chris had false start on I'm Running. I think the crowd was very appreciative but sound bounced alot. Should have booked Louisville Gardens. That place rocked with many a Yes concert. Pete Whipple 'Almost Like Love' is the full album version from here on out until it is dropped from the setlist. 'Love Will Find A Way' played like the album version through the rest of the tour.

It's good to be with you. Here's a song called 'Heart Of The Sunrise'. before 'Big Generator' transcribed by: Pete Whipple Jon Anderson:Is this the big generator? We are the eyes of all the earth, We are the eyes of all the stars. We are the eyes of all the earth. We are the voice of every big generator. before 'Shoot High Aim Low' transcribed by: Pete Whipple Jon Anderson:Thank you so much, thank you. That's a song, the title of the new album out right now. The song's 'Big Generator', 'Big Generator'. I had a dream about 2 years ago. About a time where we might live in harmony with the universe, in harmony with mother earth, beyond war. Seemed like a good dream to me. Here's a song called 'Shoot Hight, Aim Low'. before 'Holy Lamb' transcribed by: Pete Whipple Jon Anderson:Here's a song that I wrote for mother earth. [???]. before 'Kaye Solo' transcribed by: Pete Whipple Jon Anderson:Thank you so much, thank you. Helping me out on that song, our wonderful keyboard player, wonderful guy, Mr. Tony Kaye. Sit back and listen to the remarkable guitar playing of Mr. Trevor Rabin. Yep. |
