I've seen 107 shows...and will continue to see as many as I can, but this was the hardest one to watch. Steve was visibly agitated from the start, the band was wobbly at best. It's come down to this: Steve shouting out 1,2,3,4 over and over again at the start to keep them in sync. Steve ditched Clap, it was not played at this show. Downes' playing was muddled and disinterested. Almost didn't recognize the Roundabout solo in the wall of improvised sound. There were moments when they were Yes, and to be fair, Billy played very well, although they kept him down in the mix all night. Jon continues to evolve and performed well. Alan seems lost without Chris. I sincerely hope this was not the last impression I have of them.
